Yellow Cars

It’s amazing how many yellow cars are on the road, or at least it seems that way if you have just bought or are contemplating buying a yellow car.  The truth is there are not suddenly more yellow cars on the road today than there was yesterday, all that has changed is your awareness of […]

The First Step to Become a Millionaire

This is a real phone call. Caller: Can you help develop residual income? Make the right investments etc.? Me: Sure, but first you need to develop a plan so we will know what steps to take to reach your long term financial goals. Caller: Well, I wasn’t sure if I have enough money to work […]

Are All Index Funds the Same?

Where do you draw the line for ethical behavior and corporate greed?  This weekend I saw an online article about expense ratios and index funds that claimed there were funds that do nothing more than track the S&P 500 Index, yet charge investors fees greater than 1% to do so.  I have a license for […]

Overcoming the Herd Mentality

“If Johnny jumped off a bridge would you jump too?”, said every mother ever. Just shows how pervasive the herding or follow the crowd instinct is.  Like bison on the prairie we seem to move as a herd.  While there is safety in numbers, sometimes the herd mentality is detrimental to us and our finances. […]

You’re out living your life and are not too plugged into CNBC.  Bill Ackman is a hedge fund manager, he is a really smart guy and made a lot of money for his investors…until recently.  His big bet on pharmaceutical company Valeant has […]

The Right Fit

I’m not one to pay buckets of money for custom tailored clothing. Just like many of you, I go to a store, pick out my general size and buy the nearest fitting clothes available. I would enjoy having my shoulders, waist, neck etc. measured to the quarter inch, then have my clothes fit perfectly, but […]

Don’t Be Fooled

If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Don’t be fooled by get rich quick schemes. Don’t be fooled by over optimistic return on investment pitches. Don’t make an uneducated commitment to a little known product or fund that promises too much too fast. Don’t be pushed around by salesmen who […]

Spring Cleaning

Now that Spring has officially arrived many households will go through their annual spring cleaning phase. The same should be done with your finances. Whether that’s checking your quarterly statements and discussing strategy with your advisor, or simply finding a higher yielding savings account to take advantage of this year, any little bit helps. You […]

The Marathon

Financial freedom isn’t a matter of sprinting to the finish line at the end of the race. It’s more of a long, methodical strategy consisting of good habits, discipline, and determination. It takes years and years of consistent saving, investing, and oftentimes sacrifice. Just as you can’t expect to go from your couch to completing […]

Just Because You Can Doesn’t Mean You Should

Just because you can afford to buy designer clothing doesn’t mean you should Just because you can take more risk doesn’t mean you should Just because you can take less risk doesn’t mean you should Just because you can spend more doesn’t mean you should

BRYAN TAYLOR, CFP®

Owner & President  | Fiduciary Financial Advisor

I graduated from Clemson University and began my financial planning career shortly after with a small advisory firm on the ground floor — learning the basics of financial and tax planning and running a financial advising business.

At the same time, I enrolled in the University of Georgia Terry College of Business’ Executive Program in Financial Planning and completed the coursework at nights and on weekends. Soon after, I completed my CFP® certification and joined the family business.

A year after I joined the firm, we opened our second location in Mt. Pleasant, SC where I reside with my family. Over the next 10+ years I cherished the opportunity to learn and grow the family business with my father. We worked hard to build the firm into what it is today — something we’re both proud to say we accomplished together.

Today, I serve in a Senior Advisor and Planner role, working together with our team on all financial plans and strategies. By collaborating we provide fiduciary financial and tax planning and asset management to our clients within a fee-only business model — which reflects our commitment to putting our clients’ interests above the next dollar.

When I’m away from the office, I enjoy playing golf, boating, pulling for the Clemson Tigers, and relaxing on the beach with my wife, Laura, and daughters Riley and Ramsey.
